Foreword.

The new publisher for YLS, Medieval Institute Publications, is announced, and thanks are given to Robert Yeager and Pegasus Press “for their great labors and superb craftsmanship in producing YLS in recent years.” Editor notes that several of the essays in the present volume are drawn from the Second International Langland Conference at Asheville, NC, in 1999 and that some essays in YLS 15 will be taken from the same; introduces the essays; and issues a call for papers on Special Topics, “Piers Plowman and Latin” and “Teaching Piers Plowman.”
