The bibliography covers Piers Plowman and other didactic or allegorical poems in the alliterative tradition (e.g., Winner and Waster, Parliament of Three Ages, Pierce the Plowman's Crede, etc.) and their cultural, historical, and codicological contexts. Work on alliterative romances or the works of the Gawain-poet is included only when directly relevant to Piers Plowman. Books are generally included when they dedicate at least one chapter to Piers and its tradition.

Annual updates are published in YLS: please send abstracts of your books (800 words) and articles (450 words) to any of the YLS editors. The aggregated searchable database linked here covers all known work in the field: please send additions or corrections to the YLS editors.
