A Study of Mum and the Sothsegger in Its Political and Literary Contexts.

An abstract supplied by the author indicates that this study re-examines RR and Mum with particular attention to MS. rubrication, marginal quotations, and later annotations; suggests a new terminus ad quem for each fragment; reveals greater literary ambitiousness in the second fragment (possibly as a direct result of the influence of PPl); and concludes that the two fragments represent two sequential pieces by a single author rather than a single, continuous poem.
